Intro to watercolour:
In this workshop, participants will learn some fundamentals of watercolour painting. We will work through the steps to create a painting, discussing composition, light and shadow, positive and negative spaces, how to create soft edges vs hard edges, and colour mixing.
We will also cover topics such as
- paper selection
- use of pencil and pen in watercolour illustration
- brush types and uses
All materials will be provided for use in class. Participants will take home their own 5" x 7" (approximate size) original painting.
Although this course is geared towards adult participants, it is open to ages 12 and up.
The instructor will be masked. Masking of participants is voluntary, but always appreciated
